Learn from the best – author and cut flower expert Georgie Newbery joins us in our Scottish garden for the first time! Together you will explore our historic eight-acre Walled Garden, pick a selection from our four cut flower beds and then spend time learning to make hand-tied bouquets.
People often find they are good at growing flowers, but are nervous of cutting and arranging them, fearing that cutting the flowers will leave their garden looking shorn, and the flowers they cut will flop quickly. Georgie Newbery will help you become a confident flower cutter, with all sorts of clever cutting and conditioning information which will help your garden flowers last longer. And the bouquet you make and take home will inspire you to cut and arrange flowers from your garden all year round for years to come.
The morning workshop takes place between 10am-12pm at Gordon Castle Walled Garden in Fochabers.
The cost is £55pp and includes flowers, teas, coffees and light refreshments. Please dress accordingly as you will be preparing your bouquets in our glasshouse. Suitable for children over 12.
